This volume is concerned with procedures applied to medical-surgical nursing and its specialties as prescribed in the syllabus of the Indian Nursing Council. It also includes the managerial skills for nurses without which the nursing practice is incomplete. The importance of this book is in learning nursing procedures with their underlying principles. A nurse should be able to practice in any situation irrespective of the availability of the material and money if she is able to apply the principles. Nursing educators would find this book very useful for fulfilling this desire of applying principles. The nursing function is in action but a good theory is important for quality nursing. The strength of nursing education lies in the strength of theory and the situation in which learning takes place. My congratulations to the author for completing Two volumes of "Principles and Practice of Nursing".
