We are very much delighted to present this book before you. It is meant to serve as a text book on Quantitative Techniques For Business-I, prepared inaccordance with the syllabus of the B.Com. Credit and Semester Programme of Mahatma Gandhi University. It has been our endeavour to incorporate all relevant materials so as to have a comprehensive coverage of topics discussed. The simplicity of the language and sequential arrangement of all chapters with numerous illustrations are the arresting features of this book. Large number of illustrations are given to explain to the students in a simple way, the technical points involved in working out the problems.
